    Recent/Ongoing problem...

Have been using dbpoweramp for years. Purchased the powerpack/bundle about 2 years ago and experienced the "grat crash of 2007" where I lost and was able to recover alot of the old programs.

I have since been able to recover a registered dbpower amp (working link) and have installed.

First time I go to use it..I get errors > CDGrabexe has experienced problems and must close, before freezing/crashing. Never had this problem before and tried a reinstall to no avail

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated

Are you trying with a CD in the drive? If so, try without one. If not, try with one. What version of Windows are you using? Version of dMC?

Try to launch CDGrab without a CD in the drive and see if it loads.

Using, supposedly, the newest version..and loads without cd in drive, or at least doesnt show error..I have an older version, with working link for retrieval, but the audio rip/convertor still won't work properly..I spotted a 11.5 version incompatability problem with the 12. Could this be the problem?

I also notice that my version is showing up "unregistered", and when I go to the next step, it appears to set me up for renewal charges. I was under the assumption that when I purchased it, it would be a one time purchase..

starting to wonder now if it's even worth it.

I used it for years, for free, with zero problems..now it's nearly useless, and go figure, it's paid for

You have to have r11.5 and r12 installed in separate directories with the Legacy codecs installed into r11.5 and the normal codecs installed into r12, yes. Is this how your system is?
