Music Converter Error - Windows Vista

    Hi

Music Converter was working fine for the first few days but now it completely stopped working. When I hover over an audio file (FLAC, APE or MP3), rather than showing the tag information it displays the following error message:

"Error: Decoder appears to have frozen. Corrupt audio file?"

If I right-click on the file and choose "Convert To" or try to open files in the batch converter, I receive the following error:

    "Error running Music Converter"

If I right-click on the file and choose "Edit ID-Tag", I receive the following error:

"Error running GetPopupInfo to get ID Tag Edit"

It's not the audio file because I've reproduced the error on 40 or 50 different audio files. It seems there may be some conflict with Vista but I'm unable to determine what the exact cause is. Has anyone experienced this problem or know how it can be corrected?

    Many thanks!!

Edit: I missed this thread earlier
I have Vista Ultimate 64bit and dbpoweramp Music Converter 12.2 Installed. I have tried everything I can think of but have been unable to get the "Convert To" option to show up when I right click on music files. Is this a limitation in Vista as I have had this problem with other software? Any help you could offer

This is similar to my problem. I have already attempted a re-install but no change.

I performed an uninstall/reboot which didn't solve anything. After reading through the thread I mentioned in my previous post, I followed his workaround and disabled all of the context menu options, performed another uninstall/reboot and then tried enabling the menu options again but no dice....

You possibly have security settings or software which is stopping dbpoweramp from running its internal programs.

I sometimes get this when I am deleting multiple files - dmc not running - just regular delete in Windows Explorer. I understand that it's because dbPoweramp thinks it is being called to look at the file, but it is pretty frustrating when it stops me deleting a file.

I seem to have reduced the number of times I get this message by disabling the pane at the bottom of the Vista explorer windows.

For example, today I had to go into a command window box to get an MP4 movie file deleted.

I am still getting this with R 13.1, quite frequently, when I try to delete an mp4 file in Vista Explorer.

I have also discovered that another instance of "GetPopupInfo.exe" is added to the task manager each time it happens, and these don't go away again until I reboot.
