Tag Management Newbie

So I stupidly allowed Media Player to download "Missing" tag info automatically and now a large proportion of my library is, well you get the drift.

I've been looking for a way with dMC to download the tags from AMG or FreeDB and rename the files.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as it appears you can only do this at ripping time?

That is correct, currently only when ripping can you get the tags.
