I try to convert some flac files in 24 bit, 96000 to mp3. I get an error message saying I don't have the proper codecs. Is there a special codec I need for this, or is poweramp not capable of converting these 24 bit flac files?
Poweramp won't convert 24 bit flac file?

24bit flac files are no problem, what is the exact message? -
Re: Poweramp won't convert 24 bit flac file?
The message is
The CODEC required to compress '....mp3' could not be opened.
I was able to convert the files to 16 bit wav first, then to mp3, but it would be nice not to have to spend 15 minutes on the wav conversion, then another 15 on the mp3 conversion.
I very rarely come across 24 bit flac files, but when I do, they never convert without first converting to wav.
I also tried converting from the flac 24 bit to wav 24 bit, 96000, and it wasn't a problem, but then converting the 24 bit wav file to lame mp3 also gives me an error message:
The CODEC required to compress 'song title.mp3.TEMP.mp3' could not be opened.Last edited by spatzi; January 09, 2008, 02:29 AM.Comment
