Converting ogg files

Please excuse me if I'm doing this incorrectly. It's my first time to post, I think. :smile2: Ihave the ogg codec installed along with mp3, wma and others, and I want to convert my ogg files to mp3 or wma but it will not work. Have read all I can find on doing so to no avail but must admit I really don't understand all the lingo. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.
