Hours of files missing after conversion

I'm converting WMA file (audiobooks) that are many hours long (7-9hours). I'm converting to m4a. The converted files are only 1 hour and 26 minutes long. Using most current version of dbpoweramp. Tried multiple times with multiple files and still get hours cut off files.
    Thanks for any help.

You might be hitting the 4GB limit (uncompressed audio) which internally would be used by the Nero m4a encoder.

What are the channel count and frequency of the wma file?

The original WMA file is 20,000kb.
The channels are 2 and frequency is 22KHz
The converted file is 30 MB

A 2GB limit would be around 6 hours of audio so should not be that, can Windows Media Player play the file to the end (without user skipping)?

The original WMA file plays just fine on media player. Granted I haven't listened to the whole 7 hours because I want to do that on my iPod.
