CoreConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

I purchased dBpoweramp earlier today and have tried several times to convert m4a to mp3, I continually receive a windows message "CoreConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".

This happens for both bulk and individual conversions.

The file is only approx 30% converted.

Have tried at 128 up to 192 with constant bitrate

    Can anyone help?

    Thx

Where did the m4a file come from? can any other player play it?

Are you forcing an encoding profile such as HE?

        All were playing in itunes.

What CPU do you have? Are you using the normal encoder or the SSE2 encoder?

It is likely that file was send (an apple lossless) and changes to the decoder were made (it was 1 year ago...)

I am now having this problem. I have had dbpower amp for some time but the problem is new.

CoreConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

                      Error signature:
                      AppName: coreconverter.exe AppVer: 13.3.0.2 ModName: resample.dll
                      ModVer: 3.0.0.1 Offset: 00009e1d

This happens at the end of every song and it won't continue ripping until I click thru the error screens.

Was there ever a fix for this?

Try installing the latest DSP effects, because Resample.dll which is crashing, you have an older version.

Just uninstalled old, downloaded new and installed. Problem has not changed. Crashes after each file encoded.

You are ripping a CD and changing the frequency to what value? (you have added the Resample DSP effect to CD Ripper).

Yes, I have. I'm using multi encoder and I have it set to rip two files:

                              1. AIF with the HDCD encoder enabled, no other change.

                              2. Apple Lossless with the Resample set to 44.1 and bit depth to 16.
