    Is the 12.3 Reference a stand-alone installation?

I have upgraded from the standard 11.5 to Reference 12.3. I have been given a downloard URL to 12.3 Ref. Can I use this to create a new installation, or *must* it be installed on top of the 11.5.

If possible, I would prefer to completely uninstall 11.5 before installing 12.3.

    Cheers, Des

It depends on if you want to retain some of the features only available with dMC 11.5 or not. If you do want to keep r11.5 on your PC you'll have to install r12.3 to a different location see this link http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm

If you do not have requirement to use keep dMC r11.5 I suggest you uninstall it and all of its codecs yourself before installing dMC r12.3.

Just launch the Add/Remove Programs control panel option and uninstall all the dMC components. If you feel brave enough you might like to remove all the Illustrate entries in the registry.
