    COM support in R12

I have R11.5 installed and working fine. Some months ago I wrote a Java program that would examine the state of an ALAC file system and compare it to a parallel MP3 file system. For those ALAC files with no equivalent MP3 file, the program would invoke dMC using the COM interface to create the MP3 equivalent.

I have R12.3 downloaded and ready to install, but is it correct that the COM interface on R12 is now only available on the *reference* version and that installing the basic R12 would screw my program?

If so, is there an upgrade option for R12 basic to R12 Reference?

Yes there is an upgrade on the resigtration page, try the Reference trial, as the Com object has changed slightly.

Ok, I've read the COM details with regard to the reference version. Can I clarify the requirements for dual-core CPUs: to drive multiple conversions, I am required to talk to two COM instances and therefore I need *two* reference licences?

Ah, that a bit of a bummer, 2 licences .

I decided to upgrade my Power pack to the reference version and it cost me about 7 quid. Spoon, have you ever thought that you are selling this product too cheap? Compared to all the other rip-offs in life, dMC is an oasis of value-for-money :komisch12
