    Converting ADPCM files

Can dMC convert .wav files encoded as ADPCM? Are there some limits on ADPCM formats supported?

I'm sure I succeeded in doing this once, but I encountered a file today that dMC thought it converted successfully, but NOT.

The format for this file is:
    IMA ADPCM
    1 channel
    22050 sampling rate
    3 bits

We have one producer that sends files in this format, hence the need to convert. I'm thinking of asking him to change formats to something more sensible like MP3.

I can read the file in Cool Edit with the ACM codecs from Microsoft, but our autoconversion system is built around dMC

It supports what ever codecs your windows has - normally the Microsoft ADPCM. Find out which .acm file is used for IMA and ask him to send it, other than that ask him to use MS ADPCM.
