WMA Auto Volume Leveling in WMP10

I ripped my music collection to WMA Lossless using dbpowerAmp converter 12.3, and when played in WMP10 auto volume leveling works fine. However, when I reconvert any of these files to a lossy WMA format I loose auto volume leveling. Is this normal? I have some music files that were ripped to WMA lossless with dbpowerAmp converter v10 that when reconverted to lossy retain auto volume leveling.

Yes, normally such values are not preserved as the new file would have different values.
