    Re: wav tag difficulties

Spoon, I think there was a misunderstanding there - I now realise that the definitive list of tags that can be put into Wave files is given to me by the Id-Tag editor itself (what you see is what you can have); I was being thick. Also, I fear you may misunderstand me, I am very, very satisfied with the Music Converter and have just bought the Reference edition. Your products are an essential set of tools for me, as I am currently trying to digitise about 500 LPs (about 40% of the collection). The fact that your tags in Wave files are recognised by Media Monkey is a great bonus for me; dBpa Ref and MM make a great combination. The list of winning features is too long to list, even down to the CD Ripper being able to use CD-Text (so if I forget to convert an album/work into MM and/or WMP, I can still get MY data back onto the PC, and not get standard info from a database). This is great stuff Spoon - thank you.

Hmmm... very odd. I received an email auto reply from dbpoweramp.com indicating that the email was received on 2/25/08 7:41 pm Central US time. I can resend it later today if you can't find it.

            Re: wav tag difficulties

I seem to be in the same boat as some of the previous posters.
I am converting wave files to flac. I have set the ID tag processing to copy tag info and take the album art. And also set the DSP to delete source files. All that is being copied is the album art, not even artist, album or track number. Is there some way I can copy this information apart from manually track by track?

              Regarding editing .wav files

May I refer you to http://www.bsiusa.com/software/info_...nfo_editor.php.

and http://www.vuplayer.com/vuplayer.php which also plays and edits uncompressed .wav files with limited functionality.

              These make interesting reading too.

                Hi Chris,
Thanks for the links, you have done a bit of detective work! I have bookmarked them all for a time when I can process the information properly.
                Cheers

                  Hi Russell,

Visited Perth on the way to working at 6VA some years ago. Are you in the broadcast industry, and have a particular interest in processing .wav's for FM/AM broadcast use?

If so, love to compare notes across the Tasman.

                  Kind regards,

                  Chris in New Zealand

                    Hi Chris,
No I am not in broadcasting, but I am not surprised to hear you are. Some of those links were suggestive of such a background.
I just want to add tags to wav files, and the BSI Info Editor looks like it could be useful for that.
Thanks once again for the links.
                    Cheers
                    Russell
