Nero m4a wont play on AAC compatible head units

I've been converting my FLAC files to the nero aac-ls format and found that they aren't compatible with the Kenwood or Pioneer aac compatible head units.

In doing some research found that they only support a single streamed file and Nero converts to three stream audio, 'BIFS' and 'Object Descriptors'.

Is there any way to convert into a single stream audio? Or... is there any way to get the old FAAC codec for converting to aac?

Try creating a .m4a file, then use the m4a >> aac codec to extract the aac part. (or the other way around if you are trying to play .m4a, not sure from your msg).
