    FLAC to WAV cponversion problem

There has got to be something wrong somewhere in the conversion routine when converting FLAC to WAV. I have nothing but problems. After trying to get the odd 'attribute problem with 6 channel being posted to WAV when there wasn't any' workaround, I finally uninstalled and as per Spoon used the 'clean' tool to wipe everything clear of DMC. I double checked after it was over. I reinstalled and it appeared to work ok.

Last night I turn off the computer and turn it on this evening and tried to convert FLAC to WAV. The conversion bar never goes to the end, conversion ends, and now the resulting WAV file plays twice as fast as it should and its not even a complete file. Always seems to quit around 32%.

I test MP3 to WAV. No problem. I try a different FLAC file and the same problem. This R12.3 is giving me fits with FLAC. There has got to be a problem somewhere in that WAV conversion routine. I may have to go back to R11.5 if this can't be solved. Any suggestions would be helpful. I deal with mostly FLAC to WAV conversions.

Try system stress programs on your computer (such as prime95), it could be your system is giving spurious errors. Also check the system is not overclocked, try a different computer.

Do note that you can have dMC r12 and dMC r11.5 installed at the same time, as long as you follow the instructions here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm

My computer setup has not changed in a few years so i don't know whats going on. I will check Windoes event log, but I get no errors out of DMC, but WAV files are just plain wrong after the conversion. Something is getting corrupted somewhere. i tried re-installing the FLAC codec, but no change so I don't think its the decoding of FLAC. i think its in the encoding to WAV that something goes haywire.

I know, its only me, but like I said before I've been doing the same routine for years with the same tools, nothing new installed on my machine, and yet I onlhy have trouble with the FLAC to WAV conversion . Every other conversion goes fine.

        I'm sorry I sound frustrated. I am.
