CPU 100% during conversion

Firstly, thanks for an excellent product.

I have DMC v12 on my 2.53Ghz, 1GB RAM, XP Pro SP2.

During conversion, DMC takes close to 100% CPU. I am always converting FLAC to MP3 @ 320kbps CBR with the better/slower option.

Is this normal?

Yes, it is converting as fast as possible, using all your computers resources, if it took 50% cpu it would take twice as long to convert.

Ok, thanks, that does make sense. I'll just have to leave the computer alone when I'm converting 2 CDs of opera!
