Failed to load MP2 encoder library

When I want to use the Dalet release 3 codec with dBPowerAmp Reference 12.3 and I start a conversion I always get an error: Failed to load MP2 encoder library.
Encoding to Dalet worked well in version 12.1.

    Regards!

Try reinstalling the codec pack for reference.

      Thanks, Spoon.
Because I only needed the Dalet codec, I downloaded it from the codec central but that one didn't work.
After installing the reference codec pack (including Dalet) the failure was fixed :smile2:

Re: Failed to load MP2 encoder library

          Hello,

I have the same problem. Now i spend a lot of time to fix this problem.
When i've download the latest version 13,2 through the dBpoweramp registration retrieval.

Many times i have deinstalled the old software and reboot the computer, but nothings helps.

Here some screen dumps from the problem.

Screen dump: 1 Codec check= ok

Screen dump: 2 Error failed to load mp2 encoder library

Screen dump: 3 I have already installed the registration reference.

If you know the solution? please help me.

On the Versions Tab, does it say:

            Reference: Registered

            ?

Can you do the conversion using the "convert to" in the context menu in Explorer (instead of via a third party application)?

''Error converting to Dalet, 'D:\downloads\My Coming Day - 2009\10-julian_drive-my_coming_day.mp3' to 'D:\downloads\10-julian_drive-my_coming_day.snd' Error failed to load MP2 encoder library. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]

Re: Failed to load MP2 encoder library

It sounds like the Dalet codec is not fully installed.

Could you try re-installing the Dalet codec (download it separately from the "codec central" page: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-dalet.htm)?

                    Best regards,
                    Daren.

Did you use the "convert To" option? What are the characteristic of the mp3 file you are attempting to convert?

Re: Failed to load MP2 encoder library

Install the latest Reference Codec pack and try doing a conversion to mp3 (Fraunhofer), does that work? (using the convert to, this codec uses the same detection routines as Dalet). The wierd thing is the error about loading the mp2 encoder library is not in the area of reference detection. Have a look in:

                          %programfiles%\Illustrate\dbpoweramp\encoder\mp2

There should be a file mp2enc.dll

Also that program files has no unicode characters in the name.

When I try doing a conversion from a wav to mp3, that part works.

The hard disk on my computer have a mp2enc.dll in the map.

wave to mp3 with mp3 (Fraunhofer) not mp3 (Lame)?
