I thought it would be obvious...

    but obviously I'm not right!

Where, within v12.3 Reference, do I set it to utilize 2 CPUs on my Intel multi-core running XP?

When I was running Vista it installed automatically utilizing both CPUs. However, after scrapping Vista and reinstalling within XP I can't seem to find a way to make it multi-cpu aware.

Can anyone help a man out?
    thx.

It should be automatic, if you have the reference registered installed (check dBpoweramp Configuration for reference status).

Spoon - Thank you for the reply.

Below you'll see a screen shot from my dBpowerAmp Config Screen.

In case this image doesn't show...it definitely shows:
      Registration Status
      Reference: Registered

      Your advise? Uninstall/reinstall?
      thx,

I'm ripping from CD to wave (source).

It just occurred to me...are multiple cpus utilized in ripping?

Yes, multiple CPUs are utilized in ripping, but you probably won't notice unless the ripper is in burst mode or the CD is in AccurateRip and in secure mode.

Unless ripping to wave, multi-cpu is disabled for wave as there is no point (it would slow ripping down as there is no compressing).
