    Q. Why no CD information?

I purchased DB Poweramp to rip my music to Flac lossless but I don't find any of this easy. I can get it to rip but I just end with files that have no tag data, album art artist names or anything. I can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong?

I can use Windows Media Player to rip as a lossless WMA and I get everything saved without ever a problem but I don't want to use WMA Lossless.

    Next question:

I noticed that I don't have the most recent codec for Flac and when I tried to upgrade it the install says I have to delete the old Flac codec first yet I can't seem to figure out how to?

    Thanks.

Just click yes on the offer to uninstall the older codec and it will be uninstalled.

Use the program 'CD Ripper' to rip your CDs, you should see the titles and artist name correctly in that program before clicking rip if your internet connection is working correctly.

Thanks for the reply but do you mean I purchased the wrong program? I purchases dBpoweramp?

Well How about that! I found it and I figured it out and it is ripping.

It's all so easy when you have a clue.

I used a shortcut to dBpoweramp and never realized there was another program.

          Thanks very much.

            Second Question

If CD Ripper is open can you set it to automatically RIP the CD without clicking on the button to RIP. I guess it would be just a nice feature if it can and would simplify ripping many CDs.

            Thanks,

            John

                Albums are missing?

I started using the program and I've ripped 30 CDs but now I find the program is not saving the information correctly. I would expect it to save each album in its own folder and name the folder as well as have the CD art and such for ID purposes in that folder.

What's happening is if I have multiple CDs from the same artist it is naming the folder by the Artist and saving the first album art and just adding songs to that directory from the same artist. It's confusing because at first glance you think the albums are missing.

Is this right or have I got it wrong?

                Thanks.

Open up the CD ripper and change the naming scheme. A brief tutorial on this is here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthre...ewpost&t=13928
