I'm trying to resample my [now realizing unnecessarily] high bit rate library. At first glance, this program seemed to be doing everything correctly (dBpowerAMP Music Convert v12.1). However, after all was said and done, I noticed a few songs were cut off, a lot. So I went back to my back up and I compared all the song lengths; many songs were cut off at the end. I assume this is because of some kind of algorithm or feature that tries to cut off what it deems inaudible or too low or something, but it actually cut off what were vocals in some cases (after instrumentals died down).
Now, I really don't want to use another program, so I'd like to know if anyone knows a solution to this. I'm using LAME v3.97, the VBR setting (either at ~130 or ~190 depending on the album), encoding is set to High Quality, frequency is same as source, set to joint stereo, and original is checked by default (dont know what it means). I'm no audiophile so I'm just throwing whatever information might be helpful.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
(btw, tried searching, found nothing relating to this)
