Problem ripping with new registered version

    Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask for help. After one month of using the free unregistered trial version of DMC, I have decided yesterday to go for the registered version of the power pack and mp3 licence.

I have downloaded the 12.3 release from the registration mail. The status in the dBpoweramp configuration seems to prove the registration and All Media Guide ran normally.

Yet when I try to rip and convert to mp3 a selection of tracks from a CD (several CDs tested) it only tries to rip the first one (ie it unchecks all the other tracks although I have right-clicked "rip selected"). Vista asks me to confirm that Coreconverter should run. After confirmation (I have administrator rights), the status bar goes directly from "0%" to "complete". But the file it creates is empty. This didn't happen with the trial version. The same happens when I try to rip to Ogg format.

I have tried to reinstall after a complete uninstall (using "Uninstall dMC" and the dBpoweramp reset utility as explained in one thread in this forum) but all in vain.

Can you help me to :
    - prevent Vista from asking me to confirm if Coreconverter should run
    - get to rip a selection of tracks
    - make dMC creates complete mp3 files

If this is not the right place to ask, can you tell me where i should ask.

I hope I made myself clear as English is not my language, as you have certainly noticed !

Thanks in advance for any hint or advice.

Vista should never ask if coreconverter should run, it does not ask vista to elevate to adminstrator (like the dbpoweramp configuration program does).

I think all the issues are the same, something is stopping dbpowreamp runningas normal, what securitysoftware do you have?

      Thanks for the reply.

Following your idea, I have checked my administration parameters. I have disabled the account manager and now I can rip and encode again.

Still I can't use the right click menu "rip selected" as it only rips one track. But, on the other hand, I have found that the "rip" button works fine.

      Thanks again !
