CPU1/CPU2, Accurate Rip and Album Art queries???

Not sure whether this should be happening or whether I've inadvertently changed a setting but when I first tried Reference today it seemed to rip and encode one track at a time. Now I'm getting an indication that there is a Pas 1 Rip going, followed by CPU1 encoding, and shortly after a CPU2 encoding picks up on the next track. I'm ripping in secure as I want the best quality possible.

It may just be that it's doing what it's supposed to do and ripping as quick as it can using as much processing power as it can but I just want to ensure I haven't changed something I shouldn't.

I also get an indication of Accurate Rip Confidence 1!!! Ithought it was supposed to be a lot higher or is that because few others have been done.

Finally, what should I set with the :

Write Album Art as Folder JPG and any of the other tag options?

Secure ripping will take longer to rip the track, due to the multiple reads. However, if your CD is in AccurateRip and the first rip matches, then you will see what you saw in burst mode: rip one track, encode while the next one is ripping.

If you get a confidence of 1, it means only one other user has submitted that pressing of that CD to the AR database.

If you want the album art to be a "folder.jpg" in the folder where the CD was ripped to, turn that option on. As for the other tag options, that is up to you. However, I do personally recommend turning on the option to write the AR result to tags. Also, you might want to go into the secure ripping options and turn on saving a log file. I put my log files in the same folder where I rip the CDs to.

Thanks very much, very helpful. Essentially then I shouldn't worry about seeing a CPU encoding and CPU2 encoding process (on separate tracks) at the same time and it's nothing I've set which is giving 50% Pc power to two tracks as opposed to 100% effort to one, so to speak?
