    Error Message when Converting

    Hello, I am getting error messages when I try to convert to some bit rates.

    Error converting to Windows Media Audio 10, .....
    Error Compressing to WMA [clEncoder::OutputThisBlock]

    Please tell me what the problem may be. I downloaded and installed the latest version today, and I had purchased a license a few months ago.

    You have installed the WMA System Codecs and installed as well? (it is about 10 MB)

      The Microsoft codec is installed. I can compress at 20 kbps voice, but at 16 kbps voice I get the error message.

              My input file is a 44khz stereo file, 16 bit. I can play the file well with microsoft media player, I can open it well with goldwave and cooledit.

                The file is a WAV file? If you encode it to a 16KHz, 16-bit mono WAV file then encode to the WMA voice file, does it work now?

                  Yes, my input file is a wav file. I am still geting the error message. Do you think I should un-install and re-install the codecs?

                    What version of Windows are you running? You are using dMC r12, correct?

                        So you are running r12.2 or are you running the r12.3 beta? Are you running the latest WMA codec? Did you get the WMA codec for WinXP, about 10MB, or the WMA codec for Vista, about 400KB or so.

                          Re: Error Message when Converting

                          Confirmed that a 16-bit, stereo, 44,100Hz WAV file encoding to WMA Voice 16kbps mono 16000Hz will give the error mentioned above. Error also occurs when using the Resample DSP effect. Same thing happens when using a 16-bit, 16,000Hz mono WAV file.
