Highest Quality Decoded Source?

Hi, I'm using dBpoweramp with the CLI Encoder + Lame.exe 3.97
Should I check the "Highest Quality Decoded Source" check box?

Thanks! :komisch12

From the dMC help:
Highest Quality Decoded Source requests to the decoder to supply audio data with the highest resolution (for example mp3 would be decoded as floating point, check the command line encoder is able to handle high resolution audio).

From the forum:
"The high quality switch will give floating point audio, lame.exe cannot handle that AFAIK."

"I answered that lame could not handle floating point data, so do not use the high quality decoded switch."

It's unclear for me.

Re: Highest Quality Decoded Source?

The checkbox gives higher quality audio, but it is only useful if the encoder can handle it. Since Spoon said the LAME exe cannot handle it, so don't use the checkbox.
