    Help With Secure Options

I'm using dMC on XP Pro and my drive is a Plextor PX-230A.

I have clicked "Test FUA Support" in Secure Options, I get a box saying "FUA does not appear to clear the drive cache, so will not be used".

If I un-tick FUA and detect the cache, I get a box saying "Detected cache size is 1352 KB".

Finally, if I tick FUA and detect the cache, I get a box saying "Drive does not appear to cache" then "Detected cache size 0 KB".

So just to confirm, I need to have FUA ticked right?

FUA does not work on the 230a as far as i know. The cache size is around 550KB so setting 1352kb will not hurt.

This is what confused me. When I tick FUA, it detects 0 KB cache, but you are saying FUA dosen't work on the 230A.

What exactly do I need ticked / un-ticked?

The safe option is FUA unchecked and a large cache entered over 1000KB

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean?

Still though, dMC should not be reporting 0 KB cache with FUA ticked.

Cache deecion is very difficult and relies on sub mili-second timings (ie a very responsive system).

For cache type in 1000 (KB)

Where is the option to type in the cache size though?

Options (button) --> Secure Settings --> Drive Read Cache
