    Error in Compilation naming w/multi-encoder

I installed the multi-encoder yesterday, and all seems well except for compilation disks. In the settings for the individual encoder, I have Foler set to M:\Music and dynamic set to: [IFCOMP]Multiple Artists CD\[album]\[track] - [artist] - [title][][IF!COMP][artist]\[album]\[track] - [title][]

Works fine for single artists, but not compilations. Interesting info from the log shows the filename constructed properly, but with a .IGNORE attached to the end. Example:

Information ripping to [Multi Encoder], 'Track 1' to 'M:\Music\Multiple Artists CD\The Best of Mountain Stage Live, Vol. 7\01 - Ben Harper - Mama's Got a Girlfriend Now.IGNORE'
    Track 1: Ripped LBA 0 to 17600 (3:54) in 0:22. Filename: M:\Music\Multiple Artists CD\The Best of Mountain Stage Live, Vol. 7\01 - Ben Harper - Mama's Got a Girlfriend Now.IGNORE
AccurateRip: Accurate (confidence 1) [Pass 1]
    CRC32: 8B9B4DA8

At that point, it puts the file in M:\Music\Ben Harper\The Best of Mountain Stage Live, Vol. 7

For now I will just convert compilations w/o using the multi-encoder, unless someone has an idea.

    Thanks!

Try R12.3 it has a small fix for compilations from CD Ripper.

Installed 12.3 and my compilation checkbox as well as profile dropdown are de-activated. Probably my fault. The install ask if I wanted to uninstall 12.1, or exit install, and I selected uninstall - so likely lost some settings?

When you selected to uninstall your current version, you lost your registered status. Uninstall the beta, install your registered version, then install the beta without uninstalling your current version.

Was able to recover and 12.3 installed no problem. Afraid it made no difference though. Exact same behaviour. Also, Album art isn't being written, but that kind of makes sense, since the directory structure is getting confused. Happens with both the flac and mp3 output.

Information ripping to [Multi Encoder], 'Track 1' to 'M:\Music\Multiple Artists CD\Blues Masters, Vol. 9; Postmodern Blues\01 - Earl Hooker - Wah Wah Blues.IGNORE'
          Track 1: Ripped LBA 32 to 20765 (4:36) in 0:38. Filename: M:\Music\Multiple Artists CD\Blues Masters, Vol. 9; Postmodern Blues\01 - Earl Hooker - Wah Wah Blues.IGNORE

Check dBpoweramp Configuration, does it show you as registered?

You are able to check the compilation check box?

Yes, I can check/uncheck. Something odd is going on. I just used a different profile (and a different compilation CD) and it behaved as expected. I will try to track down what the difference is.

Re: Error in Compilation naming w/multi-encoder

OK. It's definitely a difference in the profiles, as I used the original profile on the same CD as above, and the behaviour reverted to my original complaint. I can't see any differences between the settings in the profiles however. The one that does NOT work is (default). Is that possibly a magic name? If not, is there any way to export the profile info for a more thorough examination?

Mabye compare the naming scheme in the two profiles?

You might be not passing the compilation tag value down (see Options >> ID Tag)
