Need to strip CD's for use of Sonos music system

I am quite new playing with Sonos music system trying to save all our music library (>1500 CDs?).
I prefer to strip the music into Apple lossless format (m4a) and I have been recommended to use dbpowerAMP but I am rather lost now. Could you introduce me briefly to a shortcut to a solution to my challenge?

By the way, should I rip into FLAC instead? It must be something lossless!

    Thanks in advance.

Install the latest m4a and ALAC codec beta from the beta section of this forum if you want to use ALAC (Apple Lossless).
However, you would probably be better off ripping to FLAC, which is better supported.
