Album Art: No 'stick' AND Lost in Conversion

Working with unpublished (no online meta data) files & art. Edit ID Tag does all the Add Album Art steps, including Preview. Click OK & no art added. (Also, if I try to add art through the Properties > Edit ID Tag dialog box, it goes through the same steps, but the APPLY button doesn't light up [stays inop].)
CONVERTING any codec to any other codec, NO ART TRANSFERS to new ID Tag. Other meta data transfers.
NO music or art files are 'READ ONLY'.
WAS WORKING, THEN STOPPED in Version 12.1 with Power Pack. Updated to 12.2 by Uninstall & Install in Update Dialog Box. No Change.
MAY BE DUE TO 'TRIAL VERSION EXPIRED'. (12.1 with Power Pack registration failed OR not registered; AND this 'carried over' to Version 12.2 with Power Pack update.) Update was through Retrieving Original Registered Download.
DO VERSIONS WITHOUT ID Tag Editing perform the Add Album Art steps, but not add it; AND not transfer art when files are converted?[It would be helpful to know.]
HOW CAN I VERIFY if it is Trial Version Expired that carried over to my 12.2 with Power Pack [& AMG] update & registration? (My computer & Illustrate both show registered.)
IF IT IS Trial Version Expired, how can I fix it?
Would a COMPLETE Uninstall & Clean Install be a good idea to try?
ANY PROBLEMS WHICH CAN CAUSE THIS & POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED.
System: Vista Premium 32 bit. (I don't think this is an issue.)
I'm new to computers. I need VERY SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS. (I can think, and I will follow instructions.) Thanks.

What file formats are the files in? That is, mp3, wma, m4a, etc.
Check dBpoweramp Configuration to check your registered status and AMG time remaining. See "Need to find your version?" below for where dBpoweramp Configuration is.

Re: Album Art: No 'stick' AND Lost in Conversion

All Tag Editing functions began working three days later (dBA R12.2 with PowerPack & AMG). Appears there was a delay for the registration to take effect. Reason unknown. Conversions were from non-published (thus no AMG or internet data) WMA 9.2 Lossless to m4a AAC.
      Thanks!!
