Stack & general protection faults galore with dMC r12.2

Out of nowhere, dMC started crashing when starting a file conversion, so I uninstalled and then reinstalled dMC only to get stack and gen. protections faults with the installation process.

Performed a clean uninstall and reinstall this time utilizing dMC utility app. - dAPResetAll. Updated the OS (Win98SE) with 2 downloads: 50ComUpd.exe, Dcom98.exe also found in the forum.

Now dMC can finally operate & convert a file(s), but when a file conversion is finished, I get a NEW GPF:

MUSICCONVERTER caused a general protection fault in module NVDISP.DRV at 0001:00009390.

You ran the dAPResetAll? That utility resets dAP, not dMC. See here for the dMC reset utility: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=13285

This has been fixed in R12.3, see the beta.

I have utilized the correct utility application and have downloaded and installed the Beta r12.3.

After converting some MP3 files I still get the GPF error message:

NVDisp is your display driver, you have an nvidea card?

Try updating your display drivers.

Thanks Spoon for the suggestion. The latest video drivers did the trick. :-))

(This is twice in one week where an app. has been acting up with everything in the support book has been tried to no avail - except the latest drivers!-Voila!)
