    Re: dBpowerAMP disables mouse

thank you both for your suggestions. I uninstalled the Secondary IDE Channel, re-installed & re-booted. I was able to rip quite a few CD's (about 70). Then the mouse was disabled while ripping. The Secondary IDE was reset to PIO only. Co-incidentally, my network card was disabled also. This I only discovered upon calling my DSL provider.
I have un-installed & re-installed the Secondary again. Any ideas as to why it was reset to PIO? Can this be prevented?

    thanks

It is a problem with Windows XP itself, if ever the cd drive returns it cannot read (because it is badly scratched), windows thinks there is something wrong with the drive and sets to PIO, you can search on google for it, it is very common.
