Error "Unknown Command Line" with dMC R12.2

Hello, I am using WinXP SP2 and have just updated from R11.5 to dMC R12.2.
With the new version I now receive the flwg error message "Unknown Command Line" when using the "OPEN WITH" right-click menu option in Windows Explorer trying to open any kind of audio file with dMC.

I checked that the registry correctly contains the following entry in
    HKCR\Applications\MusicConverter.exe\shell\open\co mmand:
    "C:\Programme\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP\MusicConverter .exe" "%1"
which should open the audio file as desired.

I then tried to run dMC from the command line as flws:
    MusicConverter.exe test01.flac
I also get "Unknown command line" error.

I would consider this behavior to be an error as it should be possible with any windows program to open a supported file through the Explorer's "Open With" Option.

    Please check and advise. thks.

    See here first: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=12816

Secondly, did you upgrade all of your codecs to the new versions?

Also, did you reboot inbetween uninstalling dMC r11.5 and installing r12?

      thks for the reply.

No, I don't use any of the products listed in the mentioned thread.

Yes, I rebooted between un-install and new install. The error remains.

Have you tried the OPEN WITH option with dMC R12.2 and does ist work for you?

You cannot send files that way to music converter.

I looked for the registry key you mentioned and I can't find it. You might want to try a total uninstall of dMC. See here for how to do it: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=13285

I tried the total uninstall with with dbpowerAmp-Reset tool also, unfortunately also with no success.

It worked perfectly until dMC R11.5, so apparently it was removed in R12!
I assume it now only works with dbpowerAMP Reference.

It is a standard behavior for any Windows compatible programs that by double-clicking on an associated data file the related program should open, so I would still consider the removal of that feature as an error and would therefore request to re-install that feature in the next maintenance release.
            Thks.

When I try this with r11.5, it just opens up the window where I select the files I want to convert. Why don't you just right-click and select "Convert To"?
