Newbie wants flac codec on CD-Writer!

I can not get the flac codec to install correctly so that I can burn an audio cd from a flac file. Everytime I try to add a flac file I get the codec must be installed screen. I go to install the codec and SURPRISE it already exists. I tell it to reinstall anyway and return to cdwriter to complete the same circle of tasks. Could you please tell me how to correct this problem or tell me how to refund my money as this is the only functionality I am currently interested in.

Which flac codec did you download?

You need the legacy flac codec for dBpowerAMP CD writer. Make sure you install it into the same location as the CD Writer (and dMC r11.5).

Used old flac codec and everything seems to work??? Is this a workaround or the proper configuration until an update to the cdwriter app is released?

It's the proper configuration until an update to CD Writer is released.
        See: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm
for further details. This applies to CD Writer, dB Audio Player, Sveta, and to a few users of some older dMC functions (such as Auxiliary Input) that are not supported directly by dMC R12+.

        Best wishes,
        Bill
