Error message converting from FLAC

I downloaded some FLAC files and want to be able to burn them to disc. Trying to convert to WAVE (or anything) I get the following error message:

Error converting to Wave, Encountered 'FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_SEARCH_FOR_FRAME_SYNC' in FLAC File

I can play the files using VLC, but would like to have the security and flexibility of burning them to disc and playing in any CD player.

Is there a way to resolve this??

Download the FLAC front-end from the FLAC website (http://flac.sourceforge.net) and make sure your FLAC files are valid files.

Thanks for the prompt response Lt., it led me in new directions. Flac Frontend found errors similar to those dppowerAMP found. It didn't really say that they weren't FLAC files.

To make a long story short, Flac FrontEnd decoded the files (through errors), I've listened and found them satisfactory to burn to disc.
