Hola, Spoon !
I really like what you are offering to netizens ! And I would like to take full advantage of your expertise. I hope to be doing voice-over work soon & your system seems like just what I need to import digital info into various other audio programs. Alas,
being somewhat computerspeak challenged, I'm having some problems getting this show up & running.
What are the steps for recording line-in to .wav files ?
Seems that when I record from line-in to default mp3, there is quite a bit of distortion. I have noticed the same type of problem with other recording programs when recording net-radio...lots of incomplete (halting audio) & blank spaces. Wav files don't seem to cause the same grief.
Using dBpowerAmp to silently (i.e., not on-the-fly) encode CDs to mp3 doesn't seem to cause the problem.
I'm using Win2000 on an older Computer: 400MHz KMD with an ESS audio driver & 256MB RAM. Am I in need of a major computer upgrade ? Another soundcard like SoundBlaster Live 5.1 ?
An unrelated question: Do portable players exist that play Monkey's Audio format CD's ?
Thank you.
