Help! Why cant I see album art??

Hi. I have just loaded dbpowerAMP and have tried a number of CD's. Track information is accessed ok, but no Album art. I am running Vista on a new Rock laptop, and have just registered the PowerPack and MP3 version. I know this must be a dumb question, but if the cap fits I'll wear it!

Are you accessing the meta-data from FreeDB or AMG? Only AMG has album art. Try clicking the arrow beside the meta button and go to Retrieve From --> All Media Guide and see if it works. Also, make sure "All Media Guide" is checked after you click the Arrow.

AMG will not work if your trial has expired or if you did not accept the trial. Check dBpoweramp Configuration (see "Need your verison number" below) to make sure you trial is still valid. Also, you should have gotten an e-mail besides the one telling you how to download the PowerPack that gave you instructions on downloading the AMG 1-year access installer.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I have checked the AMG set up, which is showing 363 days left on the subscription. I have tried 'Retrieve from' AMG but this goes away only to retrieve nothing, not even track listing info (when I get track info, it seems to be coming from FreedB). I am not sure what you mean about a check box, as when I press retrieve from AMG there are no options, it just thinks for a minute then comes back with nothing.

Also, I only received one email. This mail included a link for setiing up AMG, which I installed. Should I have received an additional mail?

      Many thanks

No, the AMG installer was what I was referring to downloading in an e-mail. It might be in the same e-mail as the PowerPack download, but I wasn't sure so I said they were two separate e-mails.

What is the album name and artist? If you go to the AMG website (http://allmusic.com/) does the album show up there with all of its information?

The check I was referring to is beside the "All Media Guide" entry that appears when you first hit the down-arrow beside the Meta button. Is there a check beside it, as there is apparently one beside FreeDB?

          See:

There is a section about AMG and various security suites.

Success! Thanks guys, as soon as I saw Kaspersky mentioned I knew you were on to it. Having allowed as a trusted zone all is now fine.
