I have a few albums of music on my computer in WMA 9.2 Lossless format. Some of these albums have a semicolon in the album name, and some don't. When converting the albums containing the semicolon, the ReplayGain DSP effect doesn't write any album gain or peak information -- only the track info gets written. When removing the semicolon from the original files, the ReplayGain DSP effect works fine. (I'm converting to MP3 Lame, and in the ReplayGain DSP effect I enable the "Calculate Track Gain" and "Calculate Album Gain," with the album identified with "Album ID Tag.")
I also tried using the ReplayGain utility codec on the WMA files, and the same problem seems to exist with it as well. When the semicolon exists, no album gain or peak info is written. Without the semicolon, the album info is written.
I'm using dbPowerAmp Reference 12.1, with the most current versions of codecs and DSP effects, which I just downloaded anew before running the tests. I'm also running Win XP Pro.
John
P.S.
I'm not using any other DSP effect in my tests.
