    DMC Truncates Artist Field after ';'

    I am using dBpoweramp Music Converter to rip files to FLAC. Often, especially with classical tracks, there are multiple artists separated by a ';' (eg. Krystian Zimmerman; Berlin Philharmonic; Herbert Von Karajan). Although Windows File Explorer shows all three artists for the track, SONOS and MediaMonkey truncate everything after the first ';'. If I go back using a tag editor, such as MediaMonkey, and restore the ';' all artists show up in MediaMonkey and SONOS. Is this a bug or a "feature"??

    We are storing correctly as per vorbis comments (flac tags are voribs comments), for multi artists you store as:

    ARTIST=artist1
    ARTIST=artist2

    it is incorrect to store as artist 1; artist 2

        Thanks. I'll edit to use commas. But you should be aware that the AMG database, that you sell as an add on, automatically inserts semicolons between artists. So one needs to manually correct them.

          The problem isn't with dMC, the problem is the other applications you mentioned are not reading the tags as per the standard, which is how dMC writes them.

            We do, AMG does not, amg supplies artists individually. We show as ; just as a way for the user to edit multiple entries, once it leaves cd ripper they are put into the correct format for the tag used.
