    can tracks be merged

Some of my CD's have multiple tracks that I want to play together.
For instance, track 1 is an introduction to track 2. If played in random order, the music may not follow the intro?

Can tracks be merged and renumbered or can the tracks be attached somehow to always play together?

I plan to rip using a lossless codec to a server for playing through my home theater.

I've also ripped to MP3 using itunes. Some of the tracks are cut short or run long. Does db do a better job?

dMC cannot merge tracks, no. Personally, when I encounter this situation, I use an audio editor program to cut and paste the second track after the first and save the track as a WAV file and then use dMC to convert it.

I'm not sure what you mean by tracks being "cut short or run long"? Do you mean iTunes cuts some tracks off and doesn't end other tracks when they should?

In the old "abandonware" Audiograbber you can set whatever in and out points you like for a track. The only function I really miss in dbPowerAmp and the only excuse why I keep Audiograbber on my HD. Great for the occasion you mention, also great for adding/cutting space from live albums and correcting in and out points on some cd:s. example toto IV
