Problems converting from ram files (version 12.1)

I'm trying to convert ram files to mp3 format, using dbpowerAMP converter v12.1.
I have downloaded and installed Real Alternative, and the DirectShow Decoder. I have edited the text file in application data folder, to include .ram, .ra, and .rm extensions. These are visible as entries under decoder Configuration data (I'll post Config settings at the bottom of this thread), so I assume they have been added correctly.
The ram files I am trying to convert are saved from streaming audio directly off the BBC website, they playback fine using Media Player Classic and are not encrypted or protected.
When attempting to convert, the following error message is generated and conversion process does not progress beyond initial file selection stage:

    Error converting to mp3 (Lame), 'C:\My Downloads\In Our Time\In Our Time 17Nov05 - Pragmatism.ram' to 'C:\My Downloads\In Our Time\In Our Time 17Nov05 - Pragmatism.mp3'
DirectShow filter for '.ram' file types is not installed, or audio file is corrupt. [clDecoder::Open]

Here is a copy of codecs Configuration data:

Re: Problems converting from ram files (version 12.1)

Are you sure your .ram files aren't meta files, as described here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=4992 ? Do you files play in Windows Media Player?

Also, if you rename your files to .ra, do they convert then?
