Cannot convert .RM/.RAM to MP3... already installed real audio codec, please help.

I'm using the latest version of DBpoweramp. I installed the real alternative, as well as the DirectShow Decoder (rm, ac3).

when I fire up DBpoweramp, and I navigate to the folder with my RAM files, they are not being recognized as usable files, and there is no option for *.RA or *.RAM in the drop down list.

I have done this before on my old computer, and I never had any issues at all. can anybody give me any input?

Start --> Programs --> dBpoweramp Music Converter --> Configuration --> dBpoweramp Configuration
Does the DirectShow Decoder show up in the Codecs tab under "Decoders (read)"?

You missed a step, you need to edit the text file (as pointed to in the directshow help file) and add .rm and .ram on seperate lines.

Get the DirectShow Decoder from Legacy Codec Central, as you are using r11.5. All codecs in Codec Central or in beta are for r12 only!

Alternatively, you could update to r12.
