    Help with naming

EDIT - A search found the old post I wanted...thanks to Lt. Data for giving the original answer I had copied!!!

Can't seem to find a way to delete the post so ignore the following...

    ----------------------

Relative newbie here - forgive my stupidity

I was using the free version until the trial ran out and then bought it. I had found a post that gave me the naming I want, but apparently loading the registered version wiped out the settings and it has now expired from the forum.

Would appreciate any help...I can't see to figure out the syntax at all.....

Here's How i would like things to appear-

    \elton john\Madman Across the Water\ 01-Tiny Dancer.mp3

    \elton john\Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Disc 1\01-Funeral for a Friend.mp3

If a compilation, I would like it under the album artist if assigned, "various artists" if not.

In general, album artist should override artist in the directory structure. In other words, a track of Elton's duets album would still appear under elton, not for example "Elton John and Kiki Dee"

As I said, someone had posted a string that worked perfectly for me, but it has expired. Any help is greatly appreciated....I am 90% through ripping a 800 CD collection and am stuck until I get this figured out unless I want to manually rename/move the files.

and yes....I DO like Elton John a lot...sue me...
