    length of ID tags

    Hi!
I have been using dMC Audio CD with version 11.5 (registered), creating MP3 files. I try to use accurate ID tags in order to nicely administer my music library. However, I have noticed that Windows and other programs display only tag fields of limited length (e.g. the album has 41 characters), corresponding to ID3v1. Right-clicking on the files to view or edit the tags, I see that dMC has correctly included the whole text, which may be longer. What can be done to maybe use a newer ID3 version, or any other solution so that when I finally have the files on my MP3 player, things are not truncated?
    Thanks for your help!

ID3v2 tags have no maximum length, if you are writing id3v1 at the end as well then other programs might just read the v1.

Well, that's basically it: It's not me who is writing ID3v1, it is dMC! :( Can I teach it to just do ID3v2? :komisch9:
