BWF Files

We have been evaluating the reference version of dbpowerAMP converter with a view to ripping CDs in a linear BWF format. However, on using the software the option for BWF ripping is only listed as being mp2 compressed files. Using the WAV format it has been found that metadata tags are being generated. Could somebody please confirm how to rip into BWF compliant files or confirm that the WAV option does create these BWF files.

Linear BWF files are basically PCM wave files with an additonal Tag.

R12.2 will allow the creation of these tags, you would have to fill the values in manually from CD ripper as BWF tags do not fit in the default tag creation.

R12.2 is in beta (non reference) it is expected to released in 3-4 weeks, if you wish to test this option before release drop me an email:
