    Error when using secure mode

If I use the secure ripping mode i get this error for all the songs: Error ripping to mp3 (Lame), 'Track 1' to 'C:\Documents and Settings\dad\My Documents\My Music\CD\Elton John\Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 [Polygram]\Elton John - The Bitch Is Back.mp3'
Unable to read CD, check CD disc (frame LBA 38 ripping 26 frames track end LBA 16377) [clRipperSecure::Rip]. It works fine in the burst mode.

What CD drive and version of Windows are you using? If you scroll to the "CD ROM" section in the Options and change Communication to "Windows Internal", does it work then?

Re: Error when using secure mode

OP is Windows XP Media, the drive is Phillips - Dvd + RW DVD8801 in a Dell. I did make the change that you suggested and it worked fine but lost some other options such as the C2 pointer which is no problem, i will only use the Windows Internal option if I get a cd that has errors and then switch back to SCSI Pass Through (SPT). Thank you for your help and quick response.
