    aotuv problem

When I try to use the aotuv encoder I get the following error message:

Error converting to ogg vorbis (aoTuV Lancer), 'C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Desktop\02 - Ripe with promise.wav' to 'C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Desktop\02 - Ripe with promise.ogg'
Error writing audio data to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]

I have updated to the latest dmc (r12.2) and codec versions (lancer 20061110 and ogg vorbis relase 15), running on XP sp2. It worked for me in the past but stopped working a while ago (I think when I updated to dmc r12.1)

You installed the aoTuv encoder from Codec Central, correct? What CPU does your computer have? Does it support SSE2?

      Yep, re-downloaded it this morning.
Athlon 64 3200. As I said, it used to work, so this is a bit of a mystery to me!

You have the main Ogg Vorbis codec installed, correct?

What are the specs for your WAV file? Does it work with any files at all?

Tried with 44.1/16 and 44.1/24 stereo and mono files, same error each time.

Have you tried uininstalling and re-installing your AoTuV and Ogg Vorbis codecs (maybe only AoTuV would be necessary but I would try both just to be safe)?

                Best wishes,
                Bill

Did you modify the encoder.txt file? Do these WAV files encode to other formats OK?

                    Re: aotuv problem

Yep, I've un/reinstalled both ogg codecs. Files encode to other formats as usual.

                    I haven't modified encoders.txt.

I'll try completely removing dmc and reinstalling the whole lot.

Did that, same problem. Guess it's slow ogg encoding for me :(

petalpusher: your CPU does not support SSE2, which this encoder requires.
