WMV to MP3 Problem

I got this error message while decoding

CODEC decompression error for Whatever.wmv


Ive tried:

Converting it to another format such as mp3 (lame), wav, and wma.

Ive installed all codecs on the page, including some older ones to see if it worked.

I've unselected the "protect media" checkbox in the Windows Media Player program.

Whats next?

If the file is already protected then dMC will not convert it.
