I have a purchased a copy of version 12.1 which I've been using just fine. I bought it after having tried 11.5. Today I wanted to do more conversions and got the "mp3 License and Power Pack has expired" message. When I look at the dBpowerAmp configuration panel it says that it IS registered, but then on the left side of the panel it also says [Register]. Is this a bug from my previous version of 11.5 trial, which did expire? How do I get rid of this?

Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
Check dBpoweramp Configuration (Start --> Programs --> dBpoweramp Music Converter --> Configuration --> dBpoweramp Configuration) to see if your status is registered or not. One think that might explain this issue is if you uninstalled your current version when you were installing dMC r12.1. What you are supposed to do is NOT uninstall your current version when you want to keep your registered status.
If your status is expired, use registered link retrieval here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/ to get a new registered install of r12.1. -
Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
That's the panel I was referring to. It's a bit confusing, but it looks like this
Registration Status
mp3 Lisence & Power Pack: Registered.......................................[Register]
(I had to insert the dots just to push out the [Register] label in this response.) I actually don't think I unistalled the 11.5 Trial version before installing my r12.1 copy. Can I just reinstall my existing r12.1 copy? Will I have to reinstall the codecs, etc?Comment

Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
Try a total uninstall as mentioned here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6828. Then reinstall a r12.1 registered version. Again, if you don't have one, see above for how to get a new registered installation.
Question: You had the r11.5 trial installed and then installed a r12.1 registered version?Comment

Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
CRAP! I went to uninstall 12.1 and figured out why I was getting the message, only too late. I was starting the 11.5 trial version - I still had the shortcut on my desktop.
Oh well, another installation on its way.Comment

Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
This is just getting worse. I followed the uninstall instructions to get rid of BOTH copies of the program, and then went into the Registry and deleted everything I could find assocaited with the word Illustrate. I reinstalled r12.1 and it's still telling me I have to register!
LT, I assume there's a key that isn't in an obvious location in the Registry to indicate trial vs. registered version. I will PM you with my order number. Please PM back with the location of this key.Comment

Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
Unfortunately, I have Reference, not the PowerPack installed, and the key is stored in an odd way.
To double-check: the install you ran to reinstall r12.1. What is its filename? Is it a registered install? Try redownloading the installer and trying again.Comment

Re: Purchased copy telling me my Reg has expired!
The filename is
dMC-r12.1-Registered.exe
When I first did the install it did say registered in the right place on the Config panel, but for some reason that went away, and now subsequent reinstalls don't seem to help. I will email Spoon.Comment
