    Multi encoding compilation discs

    Hi spoon
I can't make my naming string work when using the multi encoder on a compilation disc. Its giving tag names as if it was a if!comp. The compilation option is of course checked.

This is the string a use:
    [IFCOMP]Various Artists\[album][IFMULTI] Disc [disc][]\[track] - [artist] - [title][][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[artist][]\[album][IFMULTI] Disc [disc][]\[track] - [title][]

    Thanks for any help

If you use the default, does that work for compilation and non-compilation?

No, also with the default is organizes the songs on a compilation after artist as if it was a non-comp. disc. The result is the same whether I check the compilation option or not.

If you use a different codec, such as MP3, does the naming scheme work properly?

          Hi Ltdata

I've set the multi encoder to flac and mp3. The results are the same. If I encode only one at a time (ie. not using the multi encoder) there are no problems.

          Thanks

Sounds like it might be a bug in the Multi-Encoder.

Looked and it is not a bug, rather cd ripper does not pass down the compilation flag as default, so CD Ripper >> Options >> ID Tagging and switch on the compilation tag.

Thanks for the update Spoon. Not that intuitive though, so maybe that tag should be default.

                    Thanks
