I just installed a registered version of dbpoweramp and when i go into cd ripper and try to rip a cd to mp3 all the options are grayed out except CBR. Obviously I'd like to rip to vbr. What gives? I checked my configuration and it shows as registered.

Are you doing an mp3 or a compressed-WAV mp3? -

Yep, you're right. In the slightly less befuddled light of the morning it was clear that i didn't have the "rip to" set to mp3. I was seeing the wav to mp3 on the right hand side of the menu and missed the rip to setting on the left. Thanks.Comment
