This has got to be one of the unfriendliest, counterintuitive "support" sites I've ever visited. Push the wrong button and you find yourself in an endless redirection loop and have to go all the way back out and start over.
I've been using dbPoweramp for years. I registered it once a long time ago. Recently, like an idiot, I decided to update it, which turns out to have voided my license. In order to the main thing I want to do with the program -- convert a WAV file to an MP3 -- I have to re-register and pay $18. Okay, that's fine. I don't mind that. What I do mind is that it won't let me register without adding on a few more dollars for something called "download protection" (or something of the sort) which I neither need nor want. The onscreen form makes it appear that you can simply remove this item, or change the 1 to a 0, but in fact it doesn't work. Remove the thing you don't want, and it empties your cart. Change it to a 0 and it changes it right back to a 1 when you go to checkout.
If this "download protection" is part of the real price of the program, why not just say so, instead of pretending it's $18? What's the point?
