    dbpowerAMP won't read CD

I'm not sure what's going on here. I have a Plextor UltraPlex 40max burner through an adaptec 2940 SCSI card.

dbpowerAMP will recognize the disk enough to populate the track names, artist, etc. but will not play or read to the CD when I try to rip.

Windows Media Player and Winamp will play and rip from the drive, so I know the problem is unique to dbpoweramp. I bought the "reference" package specifically to be used with this drive, so I definitely want to try to make it work. Thanks.

Have you tried using r11.5, as specified here: http://dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm

If r11.5 works, I believe your drive isn't working under r12 due to some of the read commands being removed. They are due to re-appear, but not until r13, unfortunately: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthre...highlight=scsi

      Re: dbpowerAMP won't read CD

Thanks. The drive works in R11.5, but only when I switched the default read command to "Read Standard (SI)"

Granted, I know nothing about programming, but this seems like it should be an easy problem to fix. Not to be difficult, but I would want my money back for R12 if I can't use this drive. That's the whole reason I bought it in the first place.

      Thanks for your help, regardless.

Spoon will have to answer the refund question, but the policy is that, once you download the registered version, no refund is given. This is why there is a 30-day trial to ensure everything works properly.

Well hopefully he will make an exception because I've purchased every version released since I heard about dbpowerAMP. I love the R12.1 version, but it's effectively useless to me at this point.
